Conversation with my son.

He: Amma, can I have one more chocolate?
Me: No.
He: Please
Me: No.
He: Please
Me: No.
He: Please
Me: No.
He: Please
Me: No.
He: Please
Me: No.
He: How many times should I say please??!

Unrelated, yesterday at his daycare, all 3 carers stopped me to tell me that my son has perfect manners and my heart burst with pride. May be I should have just let him have that one more chocolate...

Her best friends...

These people below are Divya's current best friends and receive the most endearing smiles and intense conversations...

The making of a passport photo

This is a photo essay of the odyssey to take a passport photo of a baby. The Australian passport office requires the photo to be of the baby looking straight at the camera with the mouth closed and a neutral expression on the face. Yeah right!

Sombal Muriching as I start

What is it you want to do?

Come again??!

NO

Keep up with this nonsense and I will punch you

You are making me cry...

OK.. Do you like this cute face?

You don't??!

What about my Kung-Fu pose?

Wait, I think I like this game...

This is real fun!

Are we done yet?

I'm 2 seconds away from falling asleep

Voila! The perfect photo!!

Up and down

Ashwin has been working on his numbers for a while. He is the master of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 but the other numbers are a bit daunting. He is on the verge of getting 7 but when we ask him to pick up the ice cream scoop with number 7 on it (a game we play to learn numbers), he wants confirmation from us

"Up and down?"

One stroke up and one down, duh!

My cheeky dame

She will lie on the cot and look at you with these puppy eyes as if to say,

"What??! I have nothing to hide.. Nothing at all."

From blog

And then I pick her up and open her diaper to find it full of poop and she will flash this smile to say,

"You found out! You are the winner!!"

From blog

Love this dame, stinky bum and all.

Priest

He dabbed vibuthi generously over his forehead and arms and declared himself priest...

The natural smart-alec

Raghu ran a half marathon yesterday. We all went down to greet him and congratulate him at the finish line. He was beaming with pride at the accomplishment and showed his medal to Ashwin whose response was:

"You bring this from home is it?"

Nothing like a dose of preschool tongue to bring you crashing back to earth!
What about Divya you may ask.. My missy is growing up and is fodder for a complete post by herself...
